Clarinet

Benjamin Schachinger graduated his studies (clarinet, music education and chamber music) at mdw Wien with highest honors and was instructed by Ernst Ottensamer, Johann Hindler, Christoph Zimper and Gottfried Pokorny (chamber music).

Substitute activities in the Vienna state opera, Vienna Volksoper, RSO Vienna, Tonkünstler Orchestra, Bruckner Orchestra Linz and many more.

In addition, he is a founding member of the woodwind quintet “qWINDett”, the “Spohr Trio Wien” and the quartet “Foische Wiener Schrammeln”.

Among other prizes and scholarships Benjamin Schachinger was awarded the “SYLFF Grant from the Tokyo Foundation“ and the “Dr. Josef Ratzenböck-scholarship of upper austria”.

Since 2019 he is teaching at the Franz Schmidt-music school in Perchtoldsdorf.
