Born in Vienna, Christine Schoppmann grew up in Klosterneuburg, where she started cello lessons with her teacher Vladimir Malinowsky at the age of 7.
She studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts and the Music and Arts Privat University in Vienna, where she graduated in the class of Christoph Stradner (Wiener Symphoniker).
Her studies were influenced in master classes with well-known soloists and orchestral musicians such as Reinhard Latzko, Wolfgang Boettcher, Franz Bartolomey among others.
Christine is a member (principal and tutti) of several orchestras and chamber music ensembles and has participated in many international concerts.
Christine was selected to be a teacher in a music school to work with young talented cellists.
