Pavol Varga


Pavol Varga was born in Slovakia in 1989.

He studied at the State Conservatory in Bratislava and continued to study at University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz with Prof. Eszter Haffner.

During his studies, he deepened his knowledge in several master courses and competitions: Music Academy in Telc – Jan Talich, Neuberger Kulturtage – Eszter Haffner, Veronika Schulz, Gunter Teuffel, Burg Feistritz – Gerhardt Schulz, Thomas Brandis, Benjamin Schmidt.

He took part in international violin competitions such as the Jozsef Szigeti Competition and Andrea Postacchini in Fermo.

In 2010, he won First Prize in the Chamber Music Competition in Zilina (string quartet).

He has also collaborated with several internationally- known artists such as Gottfried Boisits (Vienna Philharmonic), Eszter Haffner, Claudio Bohorquéz, Dalibor Karvay.
