EXPERIENCE CLASSICAL MUSIC AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL

Schönbrunn Palace Orchestra

We are a highly professional, traditional, and internationally acclaimed Viennese chamber orchestra, which has celebrated many great successes since its founding in 1997.

We specialize in the repertoire of Viennese classical music, in particular the works of Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, as well as the great music of the Strauss dynasty and their contemporaries. In doing so, we attach great importance to the Viennese style of sound and can interpret the above-mentioned composers not only in a subtly individual way but also traditionally. “Viennese” is in our blood.

All members of the orchestra either grew up in Vienna or studied in this wonderful music metropolis. They were able to absorb the passion for making music and the internationally popular “Viennese style” during their education. The longtime members of the ensemble are experienced, dedicated, and artistically highly qualified musicians, who have also performed in various orchestras and concert halls in Austria.

The Schönbrunn Palace Orchestra also has a wealth of experience working with singers and ballet dancers. Also as an accompaniment orchestra, we not only distinguish ourselves through high musical standards and a homogeneous sound, but we also attach great importance to our charming presentation and very noble appearance. From symphonic concerts to traditional New Year’s concerts, opera and operetta galas with vocal soloists and ballet dancers, to the dance music of the wonderful Viennese balls – our repertoire is extensive and the orchestra size variable, suitable for every occasion.

In addition to the regular concert activities taking place at the Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna, the orchestra has been acclaimed internationally as a calling card for Austria – among other places in Japan, Singapore, China, Russia, USA, Brazil, Dubai, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Greece, Italy, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Romania and Bulgaria.
